Philadelphia string-master Mike “Slo-Mo” Brenner is known for adventurousness in the recording studio. The lap steel, pedal steel, and dobro player made his bones with The Low Road in the 90s, built a solid career as a session man, then recorded a set of funky, folksy, hip hop albums as "Slo Mo". Last night, Brenner celebrated his new classical Indian music-inspired album, Tripti, with a record release party at Tashan, an upscale Indian restaurant on Philadelphia’s Avenue of the Arts (777 S Broad Street).
